Howdy need a little help

First off hello everyone. I’m new to this forum and need a little help.

I know how to make drop down boxes for different cells. Is there a way to make excel display more information in other cells depending on what is selected from the drop down box.

Example if I wanted cell a1 to be my drop down with numbers is it possible to make cell b1 display names associated with the numbers selected from the drop down?
