How to sort dates that includes text in pivot table and chart

Greetings! I have thousands of items that includes the 'text' and 'date' in one field. I am using pivot table to generate the chart, however it is my desire to have the sequence sorted by the Date as appears in the ItemDate column.

Attached is the sample file with few data.

It is my intention to deliberately shown the 'text' (ie sweet, small, black, as shown in the chart) with the date on the chart to clearly identify data in one glance but required to list/sort/sequence it by date. Please help and Thank you in advance.

@tango You can extract the date bit in to another column (using formulas or SQL or PQ or PP as you prefer) and then use the date along with all other fields in your chart. Pivot charts are not very flexible, but you can get the end result. See attached where I have extracted the date using simple formulas.
