How to reduce PPT size, un-linked data, check data size of each slide

ThrottleWorks

Excel Ninja
Hi,
This is a post about PowerPoint file. Was not able to find appropriate forum category to post hence posting it.
Apologies for violating forum rules.

I have this PPT file with me. Prepared by someone else. Not authorized to upload here.
There are around 25 slides in this file. Total file size is around 5MB.

I need help for three different issues.

How to reduce file size.
What are the things I should check. Can I automate these steps.
I have never worked on PPT VBA and worked manually on PPTs almost a decade ago. So completely blank here.
There are 25 slides in the file, size is 5 MB. How do I reduce file size.
Almost each side has chart pasted from the excel file along with some text.

How to un-link charts
If I click on any chart to do ‘Edit Data’. I get a pop-up as ‘The link file isn’t available.
But sometimes user forget to break the link. Ideally each chart should be un-linked.
How do I automate this task, is it possible. Or is there a manual option which will un-link all the charts.
The reason, am trying to this is, am not sure if linked charts are increasing the file size.

How to check data size of each slide
Users are using Office 365 version.
In earlier versions, users were able to check data size of each slide manually.
Now with Office 365, this option is not available.
I tried solution from below URL
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...t-slides/10442b40-e5c4-44db-91cf-db376b1d553e
But this creates duplicate slides at another location.
Does not look very efficient from user’s perspective.
Is there any other option to check data size of each ppt slide.

Thanks.
