How to move horizontal data vertically to another page via formula.

Dear Excel Gurus,


I am a big fan of your page and thanks to you I have learned alot from this page.


My question may be quite easy for you guys but I have been searching for a solution for this problem quite some time and I still couldn't find a quick one.


I made a list where I have customer names on the top row and dates on the first coloum. This is a basic customer visit follow up chart. For instance if customer X is visited on 01.10.2012 an "X" mark is placed under it on the table. Please see the below sample table.


Customer X Customer Y Customer Z

01.10.2012 X

02.10.2012 X

03.10.2012 X

04.10.2012 X

Total Visit 2 1 1


On another page I would like to additional table where I can keep track of total visits to a customer on monthly bases:


September November December

Customer X 2

Customer Y 1

Customer Z 1


Now I have over 200 customers and I don't want to copy and special paste each month the total values, instead I am looking for a formula where I can automatically transfer horizontal values vertically to another page.


I am not really found of macros therefore if possible I am looking for a regular excel formula solution.

Hi Ahmet ,


A formula based solution is certainly possible ; however , in the absence of data , others would have to reproduce the structure of your worksheets , in order to arrive at a precise formulation ; if you upload your workbook , it will make it easier to come up with a solution.
