how to get the text value from Euqation Editor

Hi All,

This is my first interaction with Chandoo_Org and first of all congrats and thanks for such a strong foroum.


In my Excell sheet I had inserted an Euqation using Equation Editor. When I am clicking on sell I am geting value like : =EMBED("Equation.3","")

How may I get normal syntax or text of that equation instead of geting the Object as Image.

Kindly do the needfull.

I don't believe you can directly pull information out of an embedded object into XL. XL treats embedded objects (equations, other files, pictures) as just that, an object. It's not able to "read" what's inside the object.


However, what is the end game objective? Perhaps there is another way to achive what you need. If you just need to see the equation somewhere else, perhaps we can use a picture link (http://chandoo.org/wp/2010/10/19/how-to-use-picture-links/)
