How to find attendance data for particular date

Hi

kindly find the attached find and help the formula how to find the data from the above table for the particulars emp code with Date

VLOOKUP(lookup_value,table_array,col_index_num,range_lookup)
range_lookup is A logical value that specifies whether you want this function to find an exact match or an approximate match.
  • If TRUE or omitted, an approximate match is returned. In other words, if an exact match is not found, the next largest value that is less than lookup_value is returned.
  • If FALSE, this function will find an exact match. If one is not found, the error value #N/A is returned

But here! we are looking for exact match not approximate. In real data this may encounter with wrong result where incrementing emp code is missing.

No if without zero means for me different value coming. So only i posted

I have tried to use ONLY parameters that Function's Syntax has,
as I wrote with #5 Reply.
Maybe, there are more possibilities ... and some depends which Excel-version You use ...
