Hi

I want to enter date in excel in this format dd.MM.yyyy rather than MM/dd/yyyy

i.e. when we enter date in excel we use slashes as narrated above and months are entered before the days.

how can we enter dates in the format as "dd.MM.yyyy"

Hi usmanhere,

Select the cell, right click, select cell formatting, go to custom, in space provided under 'Type' write 'dd.mm.yy' .... Apply this formatting to rest of the cells

You didnt get me. Wat u have just told me, is for the date to be displayed as dd.MM.yyyy and date has to be entered in MM/dd/yyyy. But i want to make entry of the Date this way, i.e. dd.MM.yyyy

You need to change the Windows regional settings to do that.

Hi, usmanhere!

Tried changing your regional configuration from Control Panel to a country that has dot as date separator?

Regards!
