Hi,


I face this everytime, please tell if there is some easy way out doing better than what i currently do,


I always have to deal with files, where I have to filter the sheet, then segregate individual common rows and columns and copy , paste to next blank worksheet, this becomes tedious..everytime filtering and then taking out values..any easy way out?


for example, I have attached a sheet, here I filter on branchid, get all characteristics of branches and copy paste it..Ex-I copy pasted for 0071 in next tab..similairy I have to do for other branchid....the list is long

I'm not able to see your workbook, but you should be able to adapt the idea that Ron presents to suit your needs.

thats pretty much..what I wanted but I am unable to put a macro..can u put the codes here and instructions on how to do it? ( I want this one -create a new sheet for all unique values)
 
I'm afraid I don't understand your request. Do you need help installing the macro? Ron listed several good VBA tutorials to help you get started. Coding VB for a specific workbook is much harder without having access to the actual workbook, so things would be easier if you can set it up yourself (since you can see what's going on).
