How do you control a pivot table with checkboxes instead of the report filter?

I am creating a dashboard where I need the user to be able to operate a pivot table based on checkbox choices and not the report filter. The reason is that the report filter contains up to 100 options for the user to choose from, and I want to limit that to only 7.

I am new to VBA so I am fairly clueless, but really wanting to learn.

Basically, I have 7 groups: 87, 90, 80, 85, 67, 88, and 59. These would be my checkbox options. Now - the corresponding values in my report filter are 774, 857, 996, 038, 001, 003, and 027.

In other words, checkbox 87 = 774 in the report filter, and so on.

So far I have a named range for my checkbox list, called varCbxList, and a named range for my corresponding report filter list, called varItemList. And that my friends, is as far as I've gotten.

If you are able to offer any assistance it would be much appreciated. God bless and have a wonderful day.
