How do you change an entire row or column from relative to absolute reference?

I know there is a way to change a single cell when editing a formula by using F4, is there some way to select an entire row or column and change the reference?

Thanks for your response!

Thanks for the response, I assume that would work in changing an absolute reference to a relative reference but how about if I want to go from a relative to absolute?

Hi Bill,

You can still use Find and Replace, just enter whatever you want to replace in the Find and the new section in the Replace.

So if you have A1 in a formula you could put A1 in Find What and $A1 in Replace With or $A$1, or A$1, depending on what you need.
