Hello Dear all,

Somehow i feel annoying about my excell settings, which seems my hidden rows always show up again if i filterize.
The rows i need it stay hidden until i right click show command by ittention.

For example, i hide rows number 7 which contain A letter.
When i filter A letter....hidden rows number 7 show up; i dont want it show up like this.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi ,

1. Let us start with the following conditions :

  • Remove all filters from the AutoFilter.
  • Select the entire worksheet and set a row height of 20.

2. Select row #7 , and set a row height of 0.25 ; effectively the row is hidden.

3. Set a filter for A in column B. Only rows 3 and 4 are displayed.
Row #7 remains hidden.

4. Select All from the AutoFilter ; all the rows except row #7 are displayed.

If this is not what you wanted , please ignore this post.

Yes ... You wanted first hide and after that filter ...
if You get that work 'Your way' please let me know too.
So far:
If You first hide some rows manually and
after that You'll make filter then filter will do what it should do; filter!
- hidden rows will stay hidden if filter "lets those be hidden".
If You first filter something and
after that You'll hide something then hide will do what it should do; hide!
- You can hide only visible rows.
If You first filter something and
after that You'll filter something else (as my sample) 2nd filter will do what it should do; filter again (including 1st filtering)!
