Help with Visualization of customer test dates using scroll bars and drop-down selection

Hi,

I have a list of customers and their respective product test dates (day and time of the test) fro different months. I need a time serious type data visualization that can filter out the month of the year and particular department showing the names of customers and their performed test dates. Since these test dates may range form hours to days, a scroll bar for the X and Y axis is needed for tracking purposes. I have attached the file with description how this data should be visualized. Any hints or help will be greatly appreciated. No macros please.
