Help with the Vacation Tracker Document

Hi, I just recently started a new job, and have been forced to learn a lot more advanced Excel techniques. While I am learning, something has come up and I need some help or advice.
First and foremost, I did to a search for this somewhat extensively but have not found an answer for yet, so please forgive me if its out there already.

I have found that the Chandoo article/document Employee Vacation Tracker would be perfect for me, but for one major issue. We track based on hourly vacation/sick days, not whole days. The question is, how difficult would it be to keep the document as is (as I think its nearly perfect in every other way) but for it to be able to calculate hours not days? I also want to be able to track any given employee's balance on days off.

How difficult is this of a task and is there someone who might be able to help me?

Have You asked from Yourself,
how would it be different to do manually - daily or hourly tracking?
I don't know Your article, but it is possible to do,
if You would know, what do You really need and
You have some real sample data to make it.
 
Thank you for responding. To my discredit, I forgot to include the file in case anyone has not seen it, including yourself.
I am not sure what your asking, but what I simply want to do in this file is to track hours instead of days as this document does currently.

I have seen that file before ...
but if You need to track hourly based vacation/sick then
... I would use something else.
Write somewhere down what do You really need.
What kind of layout would help You?
How do You record vacation/sick nowadays?
How do You record employees balance days off?
What kind of reports someone needs?
... and so on...
