Help with pivot tables - calculated item

SUNNY ISLAND

New Member
I need some help with the attached pivot table. Pivot table was created with:

Row Labels: Entity/Region
Column Labels: Version
Data: Sum of the values

A calculated item was added to find the variance between Last year Mar and This year Mar figures. When this calculated item is added, the pivot table rows were populated with all the rows, e.g. Station 1 to 5 are not part of Region BBB but the pivot table starts listing them when I added the calculated item.

Would like to know how to get around this issue? I would like to have the flexibility of adding the calculated item but not the unnecessary rows.

Thanks,

Hi Sunny,

This is due to the calculated filed works on all rows thats why unnecessary rows comes.

There is no way to remove these unnecessary rows, you only either calculate "difference" in your raw data or filter out "0" in pivot table

Thanks
