Hi All, I have been trying to do this for about 6 days and I give up!!
On my worksheet certain cells are unlocked to allow users to input data. Some cells are locked via the protect sheet which works fine.
What I want to do is allow a user (say a Manager) to alter a cell so long as they have the password to unlock that particular cell / column WITHOUT unlocking the rest of the sheet and not using the standard review - protect / unprotect method. Then auto relock the cell when they have selected from drop down list. If I use the standard method the manager could forget to re protect sheet and then anyone can alter the now unlocked cells.
Is this possible?
Thanks
I have attached my workbook / sheet so you can see what I mean....
username is: barrap Password is: Chuckles3
to unlock the sheet: 12345
The column / cells where I want this to happen is Column O / Cells O12 - O45 (if a manager selects any cell in the column he is able to enter a password to unlock it, make the change then relock it once the change is done.
