Hi Everybody,
I need a macro for which I have in total 6 sheets, including one of EMPLOYEE INFORMATION. I want to search an employee from all the other 05 Sheets, and want a result in a new excel sheet labelling each entry individually from which sheet it is extracted.
Thanks

NOTE: Attached is a single sheet for searching but there are 5 in total and the employee I have to search for is xyz.

I have looked at this but I can't figure out what parts you want. Maybe make a result file so we can see the logic of what you want. Maybe make just a few entries so we can better see what your goals are.

Yep. I agree. When looking at both file, it's not readily apparent what info should be transferred where and on what condition.

let me simplify.
1. I have list of employees in the attached workbook
2. I need employee number and couple more columns from workbooks saved in saved in 5 different folders
3. the common column between the employee list and other workbooks is employee name

What I want is to get rid of manual searching of employee name by going into 5 different folders and opening the workbooks and copying the individual rows if employee name is found

if you can help me with a code that search employee names saved in attached workbook in workbooks saved in 5 different folders and if a match is found then copy that row in a new workbook and ssve it

Thanks !
