hi sir,

please help me out. currently i am posted as a computer operator at rose valley group of companies.i just wanted to know how do i separate dates from texts.its look like this...


pay to mr arun das rs 1000 on 07/08/0212 against bill no 67775

pay to mr krishan lal rs 1000 against bill no 65987 on 19/08/0212


is there any formula to separate dates from those texts.plz help me.

Assume your data is in A1. (pay to mr arun das rs 1000 on 07/08/0212 against bill no 67775)


Apply this formula to extract date:


=MID(A1,SEARCH("/",A1)-2,10)
