Help for Userform, how to refer another excel sheet while form is activated

ThrottleWorks

Excel Ninja
I have a user form.

The user has to enter various values in the user form.

The values are amounts, dates, text etc.

The user to refer to an excel sheet & enter values in the userform.

The problem is when I activate the userform it does not allow me to select the excel sheet which has the original details.

It is necessary for the user to copy or read the details from the excel file & then enter the data in userform.

Can anyone help me in this please

Are you using a RefEdit control to let the user select the sheet/range? That should let you navigate wherever you want in the workbook.

Sir I am using a normal USER Form, I do not know how to select RefEdit Control, I tried searching this option in the uswrform property but could not find.

Could you please help me in this.

Sorry, I assumed this was a UserForm created in the VBE? In the Controls toolbox, one of the items you can put in the UserForm is the RefEdit box.

If this is not the same UserForm, could you please elaborate on how/where the user form came from?

Hi Sachin,

I assume.. User form is created by you / you have the coding detail of User Form..

Can you please try..

Code:
UserForm1.Show vbModeless in place of just UserForm1.show

VBMODELESS allow you to freely navigate through User Form and application..

Regards,

Deb
