Help copying dates in series with cells in between

I have a spreadsheet where I am trying to fill the date series across multiple cells.
Each time I try (While grabbing all data which I need) it also copies the day name to the following i.e. Monday -> Tuesday
I will need to recreate this page for the entire financial year (July 2014-Jun 2015)
So how do I copy the dates so I have it like a full calendar without having to fix the days?

Ugh, merged cells, the bane of worksheet formulas and VB.
Trying to work around those, I think you can get by with some TEXT and +1 type formulas. See attached.
