Hello - Excel power pivot and slicer issue...

Hello - there was a similar question about this but I was hoping you could look at my spreadsheet and tell me what I am doing wrong...my slicer will not work even though I have both pivot tables selected under "Report Connections"

I just did a quick one to show you how it is not working... it isn't a pretty one

Hi @smarien

A couple of things are wrong here.
The slicer "Full Name" should be taken from your table 1. I removed all other fields from your pivot to show that's working. It only has in both cases the name from table 1 in the rows. Then I added a dummy measure on table 2 and table 3. Added both in the corresponding pivot. Then added the dimensions as you did.
However, since you have 2 pivots, one for table 2 and one for table 3, and you take dimensions from these table without adding measures, the filtering will stop. There is no filter context to be applied.
