Generating double space between each characters

Dear All,

In an excel file I have typed "HOW ARE YOU" in column A1, and want to display H O W A R E Y O U in Column A2

i.e,

Single spacing between two characters if there is no spacing.
Double spacing between two characters / words if there is a single space

and like that.

Is it possible to it with function / Macro ?
