Morning all,

I have searched the forums and hope I haven’t already missed a trick. I am wondering if a rolling spreadsheet which automatically updates the date and moved all the information one space to the left is something which is possible.

I am wanting to track my employees duties and overtime at work. I want this sheet to automatically update and move across so we don’t have to re-input date every time we want to change the spread sheet.

The reason for making this automatic as it will be accessed by a number of managers (some more excel worthy than others)

Thanks in advance everyone. I hope I have explained myself clearly enough.

Have a great day.

It is quite possible to scroll data through a report as the date changes but not so easy with the user input fields. You would also have to decide what happens to historic data that is scrolled off the beginning of the sheet to make room for subsequent data entry.

To an extent, the effect you seek could be achieve by using VBA to control the sheet scrolling and prevent 'past' data from being displayed. Hiding the sheet headings would also help to create the effect of data moving left rather than the insertion point moving right. I always hide the sheet headings and grid from working copies of spreadsheets but users may well find it unsettling.
