Hi All,

It is general excel question..i have prepared a dashboard, where data is updated in main page from data source...so it is linked to dropdown. so as you change any value in dropdown data also get changed. it linked via formulas only...this sheet is working fine on my desktop and i protect it via a password and also hide the formulas. when i sent it to other person...it doesnt work..data is fixed...he can change dropdown but value is not updating ....what could be the reason for it...Any idea please...

Is Calculation in manual?
Do it have any macros ... are macros enabled?
Do that file has any 'user protections' (Environ("Username") or application.username)?
What did You protect with password?
Did You test file Yourself before send it?
 
Yes that could be the reason .....calculation could be manual... It is formulaic sheet. No macros
I have hide the formulas and protect it generally, as we did in review tab... I did test it myself and it was working finw
