Hello,

I have prepared a Gantt chart in excel using a stacked bar chart. The dates are on X-axis and activity bars in the plot area.

Now I want to highlight a particular area between two dates in the chart (as working weather window) in the vertical direction.

Please provide the suggestion.

File uploaded -- I want to shadow area between Jan 2020 to Mar 2020 vertically. Also, it should change automatically if I want to move it from March to April 2020 by providing input in some other cell.

I can insert two lines based on your link to capture the working window...but can we make a box and shadow it?

Then, you'd need VBA code, to position some shape over the chart. I'm bit tight on time today and @vletm is way better than me at that sort of thing.
