FTE Calculation help needed

Hello Friends,

I need to calculate the FTE required on a large data which contains inflow volumes, outflow volumes and RPH (or UPH) for multiple queues of 2015 and 2016 years

The data contains columns... Queue name, Inflow volumes, Outflow volumes, RPH... how many FTE's are required for each and every queue ?

Need anyone's assistance in this ?

Thanks in advance.

Not enough info to help you. At least upload sample data set that can be used to demonstrate.

In order to calculate Full Time Equivalent/Employee you will need to consider number of things. It's often required you first establish historical trend (including seasonal, monthly, weekly, daily, hourly patterns). Then you will need to consider attrition, vacations, training (i.e. shrinkage). Along with employee efficiency at different skill level (seasoned employee at 80~85%, new trainee at 60% etc).

Also, it is never a good idea to use acronyms when asking for help (assume that everyone has no idea about your industry/data). What is RPH & UPH?

You'll need to explain your business type and if the flow is consistent, or if there is fluctuation in queue volume by time of day etc. Is the business 24 hours or strictly during business hours. What is the service level requirement... so on so forth.

It's not a simple answer to give and requires knowledge of the business to come up with good model. I suggest, you search in industry specific web sites and forums (they often have active discussion in Workforce management).
