Formulas in tables causing drastic performance issues

I have created a table through sql server connection. To the resulting I have added additional columns with formulas(simple formuals, about 5 of them). The moment these formulas are added, performance has degraded significantly and any small change I make, excel starts calculating (which is never ending).
Any tips/suggestions to avoind performance issues?
 
Hi ,

Can you try having the same formulae , not as a part of the table , but separated from the table ?

Suppose your table spans columns A through P , the moment you introduce the formula in column Q , Excel makes that column a part of the existing table ; if you introduce the formula in column R , with column Q blank , then Excel will not make columns Q and R a part of the table.
