formula to identfy invoice number

Hi Guys
I could come up any formula to solve this
In below list I need formula that tells me all Assignment number that matches ZB
ZZ = payments
ZB = invoice
In huge list, there would be more ZB than ZZ. I need to identify all ZZ & ZB that have same assignment number

Assignment Typ Amt in loc.cur. Account for example
98257 ZZ -35.57 100000009 found
98257 ZZ -289.44 100000009 found
98257 ZZ -4.69 100000009 found
98257 ZZ -23.1 100000009 found
98257 ZB 484.28 100000009 found
92548 ZB -262 100000009 Not found

Hi ,

If I understand you correctly , what you want is to identify if there is a corresponding entry to each entry.

Thus , if you have in a particular row , the entry 98257 ZZ , you would like to know if there is a corresponding entry 98257 ZB.

Similarly , if there is an entry 92548 ZB , you wish to know if there is a corresponding entry 92548 ZZ.

If this is so , a simple MATCH function can be used.

If you upload a sample file , or even mention the columns which have the data , it will make it easier to give a precise formula.

Which column has the assignment numbers , and which column has the assignment types ZZ and ZB ?

Is it OK if just a corresponding entry exists , or do the amounts have to match ?

May be something like this
=IF(INDIRECT("B"&MATCH(A1,$A$1:$A$6,0))="ZB","Not Found","Found")
where your assignment number is in column A and Type in ColumnB, I have not tested it and assumed that your data would be in a particular order.
