Formula Returning False Value When It Should Return a 0

Wendy Bent

I am currently using this formula. The formulas say that if a certain value says "yes, enter a specific number. If the cell says "no" return the number 0. This formula will work on one tab but not another tab. Am I am not seeing something.

I am a self taught excel user and this board has been extremely helpful in the past. So, any help would be very much appreciated.

=IF('2'!S11="yes",'2'!K45,IF('2'!S11="no",0))

I just don't understand why it would work on one tab (with the exact same layout and functionality) and not the other. See Tab 2A and 3A.

@Wendy Bent

You are making a very minor but sometimes becomes a major problem.

On sheet 2 in cell S11 you typed No followed by a space thats why you are getting a FALSE. Click on Cell S11 on Sheet 2 and press F2, you will see the cursor blinking a space away from No, just press backspace and your formula will work.

You are awesome!!! I read on google about how an extra space would create this problem but I thought it meant in the formula. I would have never caught this and you taught me something. So, thank you thank you thank you!!! Really! I am so very thankful!
