Fixed filter on pivot tables

Hi All,

I'm working with a pivot tables and I would like to filter with all the values without a value.. for example HaveTicket <> "No".

the problem is I need to setup this filter after have data in the source table; becuase I lose the filter when the pivot table is empty.

There is a way to Fix a filter if exist or not data in the pivot table?

Thanks!

Good day martinpaiva

You want to filter data that is not there! I think this is like trying to divide by zero.

If you have no data in the PT you would set the filter as you set your data in the PT.

Why are you removing the PT data.

You could filter on your requirements with the raw data turned in to a table, and you would not lose your filter..you would not get rid of the raw data....would you!!!

Well I'm not removing/clearing the data ... What I'm doing is creating a Spredsheet to manage the stock of a small company.... I'm using dummy data to check its works and to select the correct filters..

What I'm want to do is delete this dummy data and send it to the user to starts to use it ... but when they start to populate the source data .. the pivot table lose the filters....

Thats why I raise that question :).. perhaps there are a way to enforce a filter hehehe
