Find Value in Table

Hi,

A bit puzzled with this one, I have a calendar table which I want to find the week number according to a specific date, please note this is a different calendar , I enclose a sample of the table, in the example I am looking for date "23/12/2016" which should give me the result as "WK27".

Any idea how can this be achieved? I have tried ADDRESS; MATCH & INDEX but seems that I can't work it out,

Can you try:

=INDEX($A$2:$A$19,MATCH(K24,INDEX($B$2:$G$19,,MATCH(YEAR(K24),$B$1:$G$1,0))))

Hi,

Thanks to you both for the solutions, it works perfectly, however Somendra just a wee thing, as in the same column will always be 2 different years so no quite effective but I do understand the idea and with a bit of change it would also work.
