Hello,

I have data containing party name invoice no. date and amount
i want to see only a particular party details...
e.g. Party 1 having 20 bills, Party 2 having 10 bills on different dates..

i want to see Party 1's details, total sale bill amount of Party 1

I think people use pivot table for this...
what is difference in filter and pivot table

thanks..

Dear Mukund..

In Pivot table, just move your Party Name field to Report filter Field. Here you can see all the part names, If you want to see the details of a particular party, then select party name in the report field, it will show the details.

You can google it for difference between filters and pivot tables. You will get so many answers.

Lastly, pivot table is a very good summary tool, which can make summary reports every quick manner at the same time it has some rules to apply correctly. You can also search this forum for more about pivot tables
