Hi,

Can you help me with custom filters in Excel.

I want a filter that selects the texts that ends with "?" in coulumn.

Thanks,
Avinash

Hi, Avinash Kumar!
Tried escaping the wildcard character "?" as "~?" (all unquoted)?
Regards!

@b(ut)ob(ut)hc
Hi, old dog!
Good night.
I'm afraid it doesn't work. Check this table:
Code:
List    SirJB7    b(ut)ob(ut)hc

a                X
?a                X
a?        X        X
a?        X      X
???        X      X
*                X
a*                X
*a              X
*?        X        X
a*?        X      X
*a?        X      X
asdf            X
Since the asterisk is the wildcard for any character your filter displays all entries but the blank cell.
Regards!
PS: Maybe one day I'll learn how to paste a range :$

Good day old friend

Definitely not thinking right when I posted

  • ~? finds only the ? character
  • ~* finds only the * character
  • ~~ finds only the ~ character

@polarisking
Hi!
I don't think so, give a look at the uploaded file.
Regards!
