Filter duplicate row numbers but not exactly the same

Hi, here is a challenging problem. I know excel 2010 has a great tool to remove duplicate rows but this is different:

What I have is: (I actually have thousands of rows like this)

1 Alex

2 Scott

2 Tom

3 Rob

3 Patrick

3 Jake

4 Mary

.

.


What I need is:

1 Alex

2 Scott Tom

3 Rob Patrick Jake

4 Mary

.

.

I believe, a variation in yesterday's approach will work out in this case.
