Filter based on multiple conditions, including cell colour

Hi All,

I have a spreadsheet with the following columns : Project number, Project name,Owner of project,%age complete, Deadline.

This spreadsheet is populated with the above data as and when new projects have been won.

We have two teams that deal with projects Red team and Blue team. When a new project is logged, all details above i.e project number, name etc is entered and the initials of the project owner is entered in the "Öwner of Project" column, the whole row is then filled with colour blue or red depending on the team that is dealing with the project.

Required

I want to be able to filter the data first by project owner then by colour in a way that I can see the selected project owners in an alphabetical order. I want to be able to go back to the original format when I want to. The idea is to bring up the projects that a particular project owner is doing as any point in time.

Hope this is clear, please let me have your thoughts

What version of XL are you using? If 2007, all of these filter options are quite easily doable.

Is the cell color a conditional format, correlates to text in some cell, or just manually applied?

I am applying the filters by making the data a table but can only filter by one criteria, and if I select two or more people they do not come up alphabetically. Thanks Luke for responding.
