file doesn't show saved changes after unchecking option for uncompatibility

I had an excel file which I had saved on the desktop. When the first time I tried to save it after making some changes I got a pop up asking something like, whether I wanted to save it with compatibility settings. I had unchecked this option. Now when I opened this file again I noticed that all the changes I had made are no longer visible. How do I recover my saved file?

Hi, T100!

There main consideration regarding your question is to establish if you saved the updated workbook with the same file name and in the same folder as the original. If yes and you haven't any way to download/copy/get the original one, I'm afraid that you lost your original keeping instead the last saved one which should have lost all the incompatible features (if you didn't check the list that appears in the pop-up dialog you can't exactly determinate which ones). If not and you have saved it on another folder, try performing a search for all or part of the file name without the extension, maybe you're lucky and have both versions.

Hope it helps.

Regards!
