Extract name

Hi Dear,

There are thousand names in the list and some are the same. I just want to extract the name from the list the know how many name in the list? What are they (Choose only one name if they are the same)?
Please check attached file about my example.

I found only 7 names which are already unique

Tried some formulas on Sheet 2, please check if this is okay.

Ok, no problem dear,

1) If you want unique list with formula, try the following formula in B2:
=IFERROR(INDEX($A$2:$A$11,MATCH(0,COUNTIF($B$1:B1,$A$2:$A$11),0)),"")
Array formula to be enter with Ctrl+Shift+Enter, not just Enter.
Copy down...


2) Other than formula approach, you can select your range then go to Data and select Remove Duplicates.
