Extract certain text in word files from a Windows folder containing many word docs. and list them

Go through a Windows folder filled with word documents and search through the numerous doc files and extract certain text, in this case product ID, given some kind of hint like where it is located or I'm thinking since all product Id's are unique but share certain similarities some kind of way to focus on certain parts of the string of text.

Then list the product id in excel.

I don't know if this is even possible?

Hi Faraz,

I think you are searching the wrong forum, the only portion of yoru problem concerned with excel is "exporting the search results to excel" I suggest you to drop the last part of your statement and search for a forums that addresses MS Word issues.
