Expected Completion % ?

I am trying to work out a formulae in excel to replicate the Project function of “expected completion”. Essentially I have one column with actual task progress and another with expected (both in %). I am looking for a way to auto-calculate the expected % completion just not sure how. I guess I would need to look at the date and determine the % that should have been done by now. But I’m stuck there.

Thanks.

I am assuming you only want to count workdays in the period.

Something like this would work, provided that every workday has same expected progress %.
=NETWORKDAY("PROJECT Start Date", "Current Date",[Holidays])/NETWORKDAY("PROJECT Start Date", "Expected Completion Date",[Holidays])*100
