Excel spinning

Hi:

I have an excel spreadsheet with one macro. When I open the excel spreadsheet, and start to use it, I get to a point where the sheet locks up for a few minutes while the "hold on" circle spins around, indicating me me to wait. I figure that the macro is evaluating every single row on the sheet. Once this is done the first time, it doesn't happen again. How do I stop this from happening?

The file is too large for me to upload. When trying to delete rows from the sheet, I am getting "Excel cannot complete this task with available resources"

Hi Frank ,

Is your workbook recalculation Automatic or Manual ? If it is Automatic , change it to Manual and see if there is a difference.

You could also try posting just the macro. Perhaps there's something there we will see, or some way to limit what all it is doing.
