Hi

I recently posted a question around this topic, but i ended up working it out myself, due to the answer being pretty obviously VLOOKUP. Ive now got my search engine set up and working really well with a webBrowser control and navigate button macro. Im now stuck at the final hurdel of being able to control the "search box" function with data validation. Im pretty sure its going to involve vlookup, but, im very new to excel and this is beyond my level. Please forgive me if im missing something really stupid, but, ive been staring at this all day now, so , i dont think my brain is functioning properly :(. This is what my browser is currently searching from( =VLOOKUP(I7,'LINKS RAW'!I10:J1006,2,FALSE) ). could some one be so kind and advise me how to adapt this to allow me to catagorise my search with Data validation. I initially set the "search engine" up before i even stumbled accross the bonus of being able to add the webBrowser, so, ive sort of gone forward one step and back another. This was my original vlookup i had with the search engine before the webBrowser, which worked fine with data validation, however, as i now need to be able to populate the URL result of my "friendly" name/word search, in one cell, that the webBrowser can search from... i have no idea. ( =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(C10,G10:Z1008, $F$6,F7 ), "") )

sorry for rambling.

any assistance will be gratefully received.
