I do not know whether it is my PC problem or excel problem. whenever I enter the dates in the date formated coloumns, upto 12th of the month it the date is in excel format i.e. mm/dd/yy but as soon as I enter dates after 12th the dates are appearng as dd/mm/yy and no functions are working for these dates.

can you help in the matter.

Hi Anaand,

Select all the data containing dates then clikc Ctrl+1, pick the date format you required.

This really means, your Excel treats dates only in mm/dd/yy format. So you need to enter dates in this way. For example, when typing 14th of september, use the format
09/14/2013 (or 14-sep-2013).
