Excel Mouse Cursor sometimes changes

At my workplace with some collegues the mouse cursor changes sometimes to a vertical line, which looks like small white boxes stacked on top eachother.

Unfortunately I do not have a screenshot, and I did not find anything with google. Nothing I have found on articles describes something similar.

Does anyone have any idea why this happens and how to turn it off?
