Excel Hyperlinks Mapping to Drive

Hello,

I am creating hyperlinks within a workbook that are linking to other worksheets within the same workbook. I am running into some trouble, however, because I want to e-mail this document out to several people and it appears that the hyperlinks are being mapped to my personal drive (C:.../...) so they don't work after the document is e-mailed. How can I fix this issue so my hyperlinks work when the document is shared?

Thanks!

Use relative referencing of path.

I.E. Relative to where the file is located.

So structure your folders like below...
SomeFolder\RootFolder - Master workbook goes here.
SomeFolder\RootFolder\ChildFolder - Linked workbook goes here.

Relative link should look like...
../ChildFolder/filename.xlsx

So path is relative to where the Master workbook is located.

You'd zip "\RootFolder" content, and send it in a email.

Other than that, save file in shared network folder, or use cloud storage.

I'm not linking to another workbook though, just another worksheet in the same workbook and it is still creating a whole file path...

Upload sample then, it would make it easier for us to help you.

Just the sample file with dummy data, showing how you are linking to another sheet in the workbook.

Working fine on my end.

It does correctly refer to "This Document", Definitions sheet, cell A1.
