PS: The file has vba macros and sorting of records

Hi, prassadn!

Tried opening the file, saving as in another location, adding manually records excluded, saving, and re-opening it?

Besides, does it give you the chance to not recover? If so, after saving as in another location, do you get all the records?

A third approach, can you open it normally disabling macros? Then save as, reopen the original enabling, export/copy modules, open the saved one, import/copy modules.

Regards!

PS: run a chkdsk /F on drive?
