Could anyone please tell me why ={}, kind of brackets are used in the formula. The purpose of putting curly brackets.


I have encountered such problems in few models that i have, and always keep wondering why simple brackets are not used.

Welcome at Chandoo.org.


{} brackets represent a array formula and you do not need to put type these, Excel put them in place when a formula is entered by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER instead to enter.
