Excel Formula required

Welcome to the forum ajeet.

For a previous look at a hotel planner, take a look at this thread:
http://forum.chandoo.org/threads/hotel-booking-engine-module-in-excel.11232/

For your data, I created a quick red light/green light table to show when rooms are available.

I setup the items as XL tables so the formuals can use structural references, meaning that you can keep adding entries to the Guest check-in table, (or dates to the vacancy table) and the formulas will automatically update. :)

Hi Ajeet,

Please find attached the report as per your requirement. I have used pivot table to find this. I am still working on this.

Meanwhile please find attached file.

Hi ajeet,
I'm not sure I understand what's wrong. Looking at my file, I can quickly look at any time period in the table and see which room's are vacant (green lights) vs. which ones are occupied (red lights).

Your screen shot looks to be from some other workbook completely, one that is much more sophisticated than the one you originally posted. If you want us to work with a different layout, it would help to provide it. When you give a basic layout, we provide an answer, and then you say it didn't match what you were expecting because your real layout is very different, it's somewhat frustrating to us. :(
