Excel Crashes after attempting to Create Name from Selection

Hi,

I am trying to create names of columns by using create name from selection but when I click on apply names I get:


"Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. Microsoft Excel can try to recover it for you"


Excel closes and then re-opens and everything seems ok!


Anyone any idea why this is happening?

How many names are you trying to create?

Do you have the proper definition for all the names?

Duplicate names anywhere?

Hi Luke,

I've managed to resolve the issue, I was in fact trying to apply names when the names were not in use.

It's fixed now, but thank you
