I am using Excel 2016. My raw data has a month column using the EOMONTH( ) and the date displays in the mm/dd/yyyy format.
However on the pivot table, when I add the month column to display on the pivot table, for some reason Excel adds two columns called Year and Quarter. I remove those 2 additional columns so that only the month column shows.
Now the month values display as Jan, Feb, etc.
Here are my questions:
1. Why does Excel add Year and Quarter?
2. How can I prevent Excel from adding Year and Quarter?
3. How can I get the month values in the pivot table to display in the same format as my raw data, i.e. mm/dd/yyyy?
