Would like suggestions on putting in a couple of boxes, enter a part number, then quantity. Have a table show all part numbers, their total quantity each.

or

use drop down (do have sheet with part numbers, corresponding prices )to select part number, input total, date, then have a running summary of all parts and their corresponding quantities and sub-totals ($) to make it easier to order these parts.

Thanks!

Good Day Lymm and Thank You for your response -

Yes, having a user form to enter data ( part number; quantity ) and send to a table where it would sum quantity based on part number would be the ideal situation. Don't have to have the pricing, but it would be a nice add-in.

( I really need to be able to enter the same part number, maybe several times a day with it's quantity each time and end up with one table with totals for each separate part number..... i.e. - "4500-20, qty 2; 4500-22, qty 1; 4500-20, qty 4"-

then the table would show - 4500-20 qty 6; 4500-22 qty 1 )

Thanks all!

Do you have a sample file you could post with the layout that you require and a sample of your database etc.

First column has all the part numbers. Would like to enter a p/n in the field to the right, then qty and have it keep a running sum total for each p/n in the quantity column.

Sorry, didn't see note about Dropbox until I installed Google Drive....let's try that first if that's ok....

Try this link - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5fC8KNiR0QYelpscmZPNjlVR3c/edit?usp=sharing

I put a couple boxes on the form, no code under them.
