Dynamic type of axis values (XL 2010)

Hi everyone,

I've been browing this website for a few weeks helping me acquire some knowledge in using advanced excel for dashboard making and i'm quite in love with the vastness of possibilities offered by excel and that i wasn't even aware of !

anyway, to get in the subject, i'm actually making a dynamic chart using combo boxes and check boxes that give the choice to the user to input different type of datas, namely, percentages or numbers (large numbers), and i can't find a way to make the type of values of the Y axis follow the type of the input data. Any possible way to do that ? (preferably whitout vba, but if it's the only way, i'd help me to know how as i never actually used vba on charts)

Your help is much appreciated and thank you in advance !!

Hello, Ouks,
It seams that the problem may be in the format of the data, however, if you could upload a excel sheet whit the example it is easier to visualize the problem.
best regards

The size of my file is kinda too large but i'm gonna do my best to describe the issue.

If i check the first box the input data are numbers (vary from 0 to many thousands), in this case, i want the y axis values to be of the number type.

When i uncheck the first and check the second, the input data are ratios (from 0% to 10% approx), now i want the y axis values to be of the percentage type.

Because when they're of the number type, they stay of that type when i input ratios, and the axis shows like 0,01 0,05 etc. values when i want it to show 1% or 5%. If i set the axis values to the percentage type, when i check the first box (input data are numbers), the values shown are like 560000000%.

In a few words, i want the y axis values type to be the same as the input datas type whether they're numbers or percentages
